Languages

All students at Newton Moore SHS study a language in Years 7 and 8. Students are encouraged to continue their studies in Year 9 and 10 with the aim of eventually completing their language studies at a senior school level. Our language program gives students an opportunity to participate in a variety of excursions and overseas trips, as well as the opportunity to host students from other countries and participate in cultural activities.

Japanese

Within the Japanese program, students will engage in not only language focussed lessons, but also the Japanese culture and history. Students will venture into the world of anime and manga, origami and Japanese cuisine, to name a few of the programmed activities.
